White House Unveils New Gaza Peace Plan Backed by Israel, Led by Trump and Blair
The White House has introduced a new peace initiative, endorsed by Israel, aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing war in Gaza. The proposal assigns key roles to U.S. President Donald Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, signaling an effort to combine American leadership with international credibility in order to stabilize the region.
According to the plan, a non-political Palestinian committee would be established to assume temporary governance in Gaza. This transitional body would be overseen by a “Board of Peace”, chaired by President Trump and supported by Blair and other international figures. The board’s mission would be to ensure that Gaza is managed by independent technocrats rather than partisan or militant actors, while simultaneously laying the groundwork for long-term political and economic reforms.
The proposal also envisions a wider international framework for Gaza’s future, including security guarantees, the demilitarization of armed groups, and a roadmap for reconstruction. The involvement of Trump at the highest level, alongside Blair, is presented as a guarantee that the plan would not only have U.S. backing but also draw upon European experience in conflict mediation.
By placing a heavy emphasis on temporary but credible Palestinian leadership, combined with strong international oversight, the White House hopes this plan could restore order, enable large-scale rebuilding, and pave the way for eventual self-determination under conditions of stability and peace.
